About Our Process
When you place your order, we’ll include, in one of our group
shipments to D.C., one Potomac Tea bag per order sent on your
behalf to each politician designated in the package that you’ve
selected. The bag will be labeled as being from either "Joe the
Tax Payer" or "Jane the Tax Payer." You will also have the
opportunity in the check out process to express a message of
concern to those officials. That message will be placed with
your name next to it (unless you request to be anonymous) into a
small booklet that will be included in the box that your
shipment goes out in. We will also place a reduced size copy of
the Declaration of Independence in the box, on top of the tea,
to greet the recipient.
We will never under any circumstances sell or give away your
personal information, such as phone, address, or e-mail address.
It will be kept strictly confidential.

When ordering, be sure to place any comments you want passed on
in the special instructions box when you check out in the
shopping cart prior to being transferred to the PayPal site. You do not have to leave comments if you don’t wish to. If
you desire to remain anonymous, please indicate so. Also, please
specify if you are a Jane or a Joe. If you forget to do so, we’ll
use our best guess.
Our next shipment is scheduled for tax day, April 15th, 2009.
Orders placed on or prior to April 14th 2009 will be included in
that shipment. Subsequent shipments will be made on the 1st and
the 15th of each month.
We’ll post pictures of our shipments here on our site and
provide feedback on our progress and the effect of your efforts.
**Make sure and tell all your friends, relatives, co-workers,
neighbors, and even enemies about The Potomac Tea Party.
Washington will only get the message and behave if our voices
are loud enough, and that means lots of people getting involved
and lots of tea going to D.C.**

Disclaimer: Threats of violence against elected officials will
not be tolerated or passed on. The same goes for profanity.
Anyone who places an order containing such language will not
have any comments sent along with their tea order. All of the tea we use is purchased from known
vendors and, to our knowledge, contains no hazardous substances
or biological agents that could be viewed as acts of terrorism
against the United States.
