‘Republics Don’t Maintain Themselves - It’s Up to You’ with Civics Teacher Tracey Downey
Potomac Tea Party Webinar - November 15, 2022 A recent survey shows less than half of all Americans can name the three branches of government or say what’s in the First Amendment. Yet we have a form of government - a Republic - which cannot endure without an informed and engaged citizenry trained in the liberal arts (how to live in freedom) and self-governance (popular sovereignty). Potomac Tea Party has been dedicated to preserving the Republic and promoting citizen engagement since our founding. In this webinar, civics teacher Tracey Downey begins a discussion of the duties of citizenship and what it takes to maintain our Republic. |

"Booker T. Washington and the Road Not Taken" - August 7, 2018
Civil rights thinking has become more and more outlandish and toxic. Booker T. Washington’s life is testimony to the fact that anyone can succeed if they have the right values and live under the right economic system. It’s time to get on the road not taken. With the right values and the right economic system, the sky’s the limit. Free enterprise is a good message for everybody. |
